Established for 25 years and with a family history in the meat trade since the 1930's, McLays are highly regarded as Scotland's premier chilled food supplier to the catering trade. Formed as a specialist catering butcher our range now includes fresh fish, fresh fruit & vegetables and other fresh and frozen fine foods. We serve all sectors from restaurants, hotels, pubs and clubs to nursing homes and canteens be it independent or group operators. We also specialise in supplying to the public sector.

Our Services

Starting primarily as a butchers, over the years we have progressed and added our fish, produce and fine foods departments with expert buyers for each. We pride ourselves on being able to provide a complete chilled food service, specialising in all four categories.

We serve members of the 'Scotch Beef Club' with our top quality scotch beef aged on the bone for maximum flavour and tenderness. As certified members you can be sure of receiving quality assured Scotch beef, lamb and pork.

Our fresh fish is delivered daily from local and international ports. We work closely with our seafood suppliers and our buying team have a wealth of knowledge, ensuring only the freshest, highest quality fish is delivered.
